A Little Philosophy of the Sea (French Edition) Kindle Edition
French Edition by Laurence Devillairs (Author), Viviane Vagh (Translator) Format: Kindle Edition
4.4 out of 5 stars 32 ratings
Discover about twenty little life lessons, short and simple, to find the natural being that breathes in you.
More than ever, we feel the need to refocus on the essentials: the air that makes us live, the trees that protect us, the sea that teaches us about immensity and contemplation.
This book is the second work of a collection which relearns us to listen to the lessons of wisdom lavished by nature.
After the international success of Little Philosophy of Birds, what better than to stop the infernal tempo of our lives again and listen to the gentle surf of the ocean? By its ebbs and flows, by its way of covering the world and of being so silently necessary to us, this great blue lady that is the sea teaches us an art of living that is more respectful of our rhythms, and also deeper.

It is not, strictly speaking, a book of philosophy, in the sense that one will not find in it deep theories or extensive argumentation.
Starting from the contemplation of nature, the sea in this case, the author invites us to dive into ourselves and to question our ways of life and our way of relating to our humanity with more presence.
It's quite strange, I come out of the reading having learned nothing new, but with the feeling of being, at least in part, transformed by the journey in which this author embarked me. Not knowledge, then, but wisdom for sure!
