Every year Christopher Isherwood would come from his home in Santa Monica to the Vedanta Temple in Hollywood to read the Katha Upanishads at the breakfast service meal for Swamiji, Swami Vivekananda. Isherwood was a dedicated disciple of Swami Prabhavananda, who was a disciple of Maharaj Swami Brahamananda - the spiritual son of Sri Ramakrishna.
