The most ancient available to us theological sacred text Upanishads. Word Upanishad means "sit down by the feet of the Lord and listen closely". Upanishad in Ukrainian phonetic means "у Пана сядь" : exactly the same as in the Sanskrit meaning mentioned above.


The Katha Upanishad is an Original story about the same drama that took place between Abraham, Isaac and God.


Abraham heeded a call from the Almighty to sacrifice his most beloved son Isaac and he lived through this drama and was about to kill Isaac, because even though Abraham was an exemplary righteous person,


but FAITH was MORE then ethics and morals for him.


An Angel then stopped the Abraham's hand, holding a sacrificial knife, when Abraham was about to cut a throat of his beloved son Isaac.


That was a test from the Almighty to find out how STRONG is Abraham's faith


That is the reason we call Abraham :


A Father of Faith.


Soren Kierkegaard wrote his "Fear and Trembling" - the most beautiful piece on this Biblical greatest story.


But in fact, Katha Upanishad likely was written even before Moses composed his Book of Genesis .


It is possible that Upanishads and Tora (that includes "Genesis"), both, are retelling of some even more ancient source, not available to us.


May be the last original of that proto-Genesis text was destroyed by Julius Caesar in the fire of Alexandria Library

Subject: This is the Audio Book on Youtube.
It starts on page 49 without the introduction and appears to be a word for word reading. This platform will not allow a direct link, but if you search for "The Upanishads ~ pure vedic Spirituality ~translation as it is audiobook" you should find it. The voice is female, London accent I believe. Very nice.
Extra note. Cover will not be the Penguin Book. It will be Red with a differing name. "Upanishads, The Holy Spirit of the Vedas"
