Many Christians base their understanding of the end times on the popular pretribulation rapture view. They expect that Jesus will rescue them just-in-time before the tribulations of the Antichrist. However, few people realize that every single biblical promise of being raptured at that time is conditional on personal spiritual readiness. Eminent Christian leaders such as A.B. Simpson, founder of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, as well as Hudson Taylor, founder of the China Inland Mission, first taught this biblical perspective of a conditional rapture.

In their captivating account, the authors take their readers on a fascinating journey through the pages of the Bible, showing how biblical prophecies from Daniel to Revelation point toward not just one but two raptures: a conditional first fruits rapture for the ready wise virgins of the church, and a later rapture for foolish virgin believers who are spiritually unprepared. Packed with fresh scriptural insights, this book will prepare and equip you for the times ahead!

Worthy to Escape makes for a thoroughly intriguing read! It is rare for Christians to apply the Hebraic traditions regarding marriage to the rapture. That and the books strong focus on spiritual intimacy set it apart from the majority of end times writings.

Everyone should become familiar with the first fruits rapture. I highly recommend this book!

"Any student of eschatology needs to read this book and consider its insights. Bible colleges and seminaries should use it as a reference work and make it required reading." --Pastor T. From the Inside Flap
"...Jesus is not coming to rescue lukewarm groups of halfhearted followers. He won't be gathering people steeped in the mores of the world yet eager to escape the coming wrath of God. Rather, the parable of the ten virgins shows clearly that our coming King is expecting a bride who has been actively anticipating and preparing herself for His arrival.
...
No matter where you are at in your walk with Jesus or where you stand on the topic of the end times, we desire to take you on a journey in this book. It will be a journey deep into God's Word, venturing into parts of Scripture that you may have never read before or that may have seemed like an undecipherable secret message. We will explore unfulfilled prophecies and connect truths throughout the pages of the Bible that may have seemed disconnected, hard to understand, and unrelated to our daily lives. As you enter into the revelation of God's will for these final days of church history, we pray that you will discover a greater meaning and purpose about these times that we live in."

Finally! Zenz and Sias, put in one book a Scripturally rich, experiential, preparation-focused approach to our Bridegroom's return! If you could see my order history, I've bought book after book about the Lord's coming, only to find, except for a precious few (Lang, etc.), that much of what the Word says was disregarded to promote an author's pet view. Reading the Bible cover to cover, it was obvious there would be a first fruit rapture based on the believer's preparation but I couldn't find in one book a thorough Scriptural approach tackling what the whole Bible said about our Lord's coming. Before finding Worthy to Escape, I'd draw timelines to try to put all the events into sequence and kept tablets of verses and notes, all the time focusing on learning how to prepare (which is not by stockpiling) to be part of His pure and spotless Bride. Finally, these two authors bypass all the infighting the enemy has used to shame Christians to present a clear view how the Bride can make herself ready (Rev.19:7) and why the Lord instructs us in Lk.21:36 to pray that we may be counted worthy to escape and stand before the Son of Man - our Bridegroom. Many thanks to Zens and Sias for their labor of love to tackle this enormous project to produce a much needed, timely book before His soon return!

(Don't let the price discourage you - this book is worth its weight in gold; now that it has arrived and I've had a chance to examine it, I would have paid many times over for what is between its cover.)

[Note: I originally wrote this review months ago but was challenged by another author about posting it. Having only skimmed the book, I temporarily removed my review until I could study the content more in depth and am now two thirds through.

I'm not clear about their assumption that all the believers will be at the Wedding Feast. It was my understanding that while all believers will be part of the Bride of Christ, only the overcoming ones (first fruits and the tribulation martyrs) will be invited to the Wedding Feast. Some were told in Matt.25:23, "Enter into the joy of your Lord", i.e. the Feast, while others in verse 30 went to outer darkness, although all were 'servants', i.e. believers. Even Lk.12:36 instructs the main harvest Christians to be 'like men waiting for their Master returning from the Wedding' and Lk.12:38 following that mentions Him coming in the second or third watch, not the first watch, figuratively, that has already passed when the first fruits were raptured. Also Matt.22:11-13 says any without the wedding garment ("the righteou acts of the saints, Rev.19:8) will not be allowed in the Wedding Feast. Matt.25:10 says 'only those who are ready are allowed in the Wedding Feast, implying others will seek it, "...and the door was shut".

The topics in the book need more study but until I can complete that, I wanted to get this review back up on what I feel is an excellent book, especially on how to prepare for His coming, a topic sadly lacking in most books on eschatology.]

5.0 out of 5 stars If you are interested in end-time events, this book is for you.

A scholarly yet approachable study of end-time events as seen through the lens of both the old and new testaments of the Bible. The authors do take a stand concerning end-time events (one that I'd never heard much about prior to reading this book). But they also painstakingly review several other of the theories out there concerning end-time events, and compare and contrast them. All in all, I found this book to be the most helpful book I've ever read on this topic. In my opinion, this is a must-read book for anyone interested in making preparations for the approaching end of days.

This book is amazing and sobering.
It confirms what the word actually says.
Thanks for writing this book. It’s one I read and read again.

1.0 out of 5 stars A psychotic book, which should be removed from circulation.

The worldview presented in this book is terrifying and abominable.
It shakes me to my core to see so many reviewers who seem to delight in this vision of mass slaughter and devastation, and my faith in humanity has been compromised forever by reading this book and its comments.

These are the scrawlings of a deranged man, a pseudo-intellectual with authority among a diffuse cult of violent, fundamentalist extremists who name themselves Christians, but who are more interested in indulging their perverted, horrific fantasies of hellfire than they are in helping their fellow human.

Please, look inside yourself and ask why this appeals to you.

Same old 3 1/2 years rapture narrative just slightly changed as to those saved. Nothing new to add to the imagination or the conversation with the exception of who may escape. I found it boring except one chapter was interesting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mentally enlightening and spiritually encouraging

This is a heavy book, meaning a serious study of the end times, and the second coming of Jesus as predicted in the Bible. It’s a comprehensive in-depth study.
The authors interpret passages from Old and New Testaments, with special emphasis on the book of Revelation. Their approach IS thorough and consistent.
I found some sections fascinating, such as the identity of the Antichrist (two of them: one ancient, one modern), and economic chaos associated with this. Another was fitting Hitler into the Bible interpretation. A small example of the drama in words: “The Antichrist will end up having to destroy Catholicism because it will not bow to his demands.” Another is identifying New York city as Babylon: “The destruction of New York will rob the world of all it wanted and craved for.”
One of the scary issues is the tribulation, and whether Christians will be able to avoid this nasty period. The authors say it depends, and seemingly divide us into good and mediocre Christians. My reading is that the mediocre Christians have one foot too deep into the world and its attractions and temptations. They have been “saved” but just haven’t come up to the mark, and so will have to go through the tribulation.
Another part I found interesting was that during the millennium period of 1,000 years, a precursor to eternity, the good Christians who have been raptured would actually rule with Christ over the earth.
The book urges Christians to remain faithful to God and to behave properly and so produce spiritual fruit. While the balance between faith (one’s theological relationship with God) and good works in the world has always led to debate amongst Christian denominations, the authors do rate faith (being spiritual) as pre-eminent over doing good works, which is consistent with their conservative position. Perhaps this is just my background, but I would have appreciated alternative words to “bearing fruit”, such as more emphasis on scenarios like the good Samaritan story that Jesus told. I generally think Christians don’t spread the good news by good works nearly enough. To be fair, the authors do address the need for works (“works is the necessary evidence for true salvation”).
The book is not a light read, snuggled up in front of the fire on a winter’s evening. But I can see it being used in a book study group over several weeks. I read it over a few months, trying to absorb one chapter at a time. It was worthwhile, as I learnt a lot and found many nuggets of information that were mentally enlightening and spiritually encouraging. I would add that the book is a goldmine for serious students of revelation and end-times.
I give the book 5* for those who are students of this subject, and 3* for persons like me who are acquainted with the subject but have no deep knowledge. So my overall rating is 4*.
