Journeying Across Divides Toward Reconciliation
“In Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself … and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us” 2 Corinthians 5:19
Facing current conflicts and divisions and historical wounds, the annual Christian Forum for Reconciliation in Northeast Asia provides a multi-national platform for Christian leaders from diverse stakeholder groups – university, seminary, civil society, church, and younger leaders – to come together to pursue a common mission:
To forward the ministry of reconciliation in Northeast Asia by inspiring and educating Christian leadership, fostering community and healing across divides, bearing prophetic witness, and being a catalyst for collaboration and new initiatives.
The Forum is the core program of the Northeast Asia Reconciliation Initiative (NARI). The geographic focus is currently China mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and the United States.
Founded in 2012, NARI is grounded in mutually transformative relationships between the following partner organizations: the Duke Divinity School Center for Reconciliation, the Mennonite Central Committee, and institutions and leaders in Northeast Asia.
