What did I think of this season or show in general? I loved it! Like no other tv shows before. The Chosen in my opinion is the single Greatest biblical/Christian film/series ever made hands down!! There are quite a few that are quite good and decent but not quite like what the chosen has captured. Yes, the characters in the show like there portrayal is top notch. These aren't your typical one dimensional kinds of characters but real people that have real life problems and aren't always portrayed as perfect or holy. Whats the fun in that if that was the case. All the disciples are amazing and jesus too. Many of the pharisees are also portrayed amazingly well too. Especially Nicodemus. The chosen has a very strong story laced with amazing acting, writing, Emotional beats, cinematography and more etc.. It is also one of the most inspiring piece of media ever made.

The Chosen is an awesome series that goes beyond time and space to bring characters to life in a never-before-seen way. With a brilliant script and amazing actors, the series takes us on an exciting and inspiring journey that makes us rethink our own lives and the decisions we make. The Chosen is an example of how art can be used to transform lives, and I'm sure everyone who watches this series will be deeply touched and moved." But there's something else that makes The Chosen truly unique: the show's mysterious and captivating ambiance. From the hauntingly beautiful score to the enigmatic characterizations, the series has a way of drawing the viewer in and leaving them spellbound. The show's creators have intentionally left some elements open to interpretation, which only adds to the intrigue. One of the most compelling aspects of The Chosen is its exploration of the supernatural. While the series is grounded in historical and biblical accuracy, it also delves into the spiritual realm, giving us a glimpse of the unseen forces at work behind the scenes. This adds a layer of mystery and wonder to the already engaging storylines. Another fascinating aspect of The Chosen is the way it challenges our preconceived notions of the biblical characters. The show portrays them as real people with real struggles and doubts, which makes their journey all the more relatable and inspiring. This authenticity is what makes The Chosen stand out from other biblical adaptations. Finally, The Chosen is a testament to the power of collaboration and community. The series was funded by thousands of supporters who believed in the project, and it continues to be made with the help of dedicated volunteers and professionals. This sense of unity and purpose is palpable in every episode and is a reflection of the show's message of love, faith, and hope. In conclusion, The Chosen is more than just a series; it's a captivating and mysterious journey that will leave you wanting more. With its brilliant storytelling, exceptional acting, and otherworldly ambiance, The Chosen is a true masterpiece that has the power to transform lives.

We started watching this as a family. It has been such an eye opener for us. The Bible says there is nothing new under the sun, but you don't think about the people in the time of Jesus having the same thoughts, dreams and struggles as we have now. Some of the scenes could be around my kitchen table. This makes it so relatable for everyone. But the lessons we have learned thus far have been life changing. To think of, and to see Christ as 100% man AND 100% God at the same time is eye opening. The Chosen is made in such a way as to answer a million questions and create a million more at the same time. It opens your mind to a whole other world while grounding you in your own. To say it is genius is no exaggeration. It is clearly created in the heart of God and planted into the heart of man. The writers, directors, producers, actors and crew have opened their hearts to what God wants the people of this fallen world to know; that He loves us and is waiting for us to come to Him. This series is a must see for sinners and saints alike. There has never been anything like it.

We've all seen the Bible movies growing up, and Jesus of Nazareth. This series brings real personalities to Jesus and His disciples. The chemistry here makes all of them relatable. It has renewed my heart and urgency for my faith.

The Chosen is similar to Jesus of Nazareth (1977) and The Gospel of John (2003) insofar as it is a depiction of the ministry of Jesus as recorded in the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). It's probably closest to John because it depicts Jesus saying that He is the Messiah. It also depicts Him doing miracles, like previous films. However, where it's different is the way it embellishes the Biblical text, adding dialogue and sub-plots not found in the Bible. These do not contradict the Bible. They just add more of a backstory. And they serve to humanize Jesus and the disciples. It is made by evangelical Christians who are respectful of the Biblical text. It depicts the political intrigue with the Romans and Pharisees and Zealots well. It also depicts the women who followed Jesus in a very sympathetic light. It's important to recall that it is an interpretation of the text. It's always at risk of portraying Jesus and the disciples in too familiar terms. It's trying to make them relatable, which I get -- but it's right on the edge sometimes. The jokes are often modern (e.g., "too soon?") It's well produced and acted and written. My only complaint is the music, which at the start of each episode I end up muting as it's a bit overbearing. Other than that, it's worth watching. I can see why it's popular. For my money, The Gospel of John is the best Jesus film, however. It's true to the text. The Chosen strays far afield but is still good.

They managed to pull off a fresh take on an old story... and what they produced is very entertaining and inspiring! The cast is excellent. The production values are high. The writers did a great job bringing the stories lo life and showing the drama and challenges of the era. They took artistic licenses in order to make great TV while also staying grounded on what clearly is a lot of research. The producers and writers did their homework... and the result is a great TV series all around. One that not only entertains but also brings an encouraging message to our society today.

This is a high quality TV series, not a cheap show. It's on par with professional Peacock and Apple dramas. Also, I've never seen anything so authentic about the mission of Jesus and the wider context, you see the human side to him. The first season is great. Loved it. It's for everyone, even non-believers.

I love season 2 as well. Definitely just as good as the first season. Albeit a little more characters added on of course. Like Philip and Nathanael, and of course The last of jesus's 12 disciples. Judas. The story continues to be captivating and thoughtful. The characters and disciples seem to continue to be awesome and grow along the way with Jesus. Yes, many biblical moments in this season of course. And Jesus is definitely portrayed just as well in this season as the first one. There are many scenes that show that there are many who struggle and want help. Another major disciple we get to see fleshed out is matthew. Matthew is becoming confident to the fact that jesus needs him for something bigger than what he can possibly imagine. Albeit Matthew struggles to be part of the group because he is disowned by simon who has a grudge on him. because he was once a tax collector. All in all, season 2 is quite a stunner season and the series will continue to grow through the future seasons.

The Chosen is a game changer. It's just great television from the get-go....that brings with it great character development, heart wrenching stories, good food for thought and an intro/re-intro/reminder/new look at the Man behind the Four Gospels. You don't have to be a church-goer or church-wanna-be to LOVE this show. Binge the first four episodes - you won't want to stop!!

Second season just as good as the first, but still great. A bit slower, but had some of the best episodes of all three seasons. One episode is all shot in one take and comes right out of the Gospels about how Jesus's disciples used to argue and have disputes with each other. That was captured perfectly. Also it ends really well with an amazing moment as Jesus gets nervous before he gives the sermon on the mount. Really brings his ideas down to Earth.
