The role of the fascia in the human body has been getting a lot of attention. Its effects are far-reaching because it surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, and fiber in place! In short, it is everywhere and affects everything! The trick is to keep the fascia “unstuck” so that it is supple and hydrated and can glide, slide, twist, and bend with movement. Bodyworkers know about it because it is everywhere we touch. Yoga practitioners know about it because their asanas are designed to stretch it. JingJin Yoga is about combining those two Eastern wisdoms: Yoga and Chinese Medicine. Unlike other bodywork methods that use the principal energy pathways of acupressure and acupuncture, it focuses on the pathways that are dedicated specifically to the muscles and fascia - the JingJin.
The authors have used the trajectories of the JingJin to fine-tune the asanas of Yoga and added the mind-body connection with the energy pathways through guided meditation. These deceptively simple stretches profoundly benefit the whole body in many surprising ways. When done regularly the effects are cumulative and endless!

What a great book! The content is very enlightening, interesting and supported by clear definitions and helpful examples. I’m a visual learner so the graphics and examples modeled were also very helpful to me. The layout and flow of the book’s material was easy to follow and review. That was good because it allowed me to personalize my understanding of what I was reading and trying to learn.

I appreciated the knowledge shared in the book. As a senior citizen, I wish I had been exposed to the information earlier in my life. That said, I can clearly see benefits of receiving the general knowledge and specific application of the information at any stage of life.

For me, the book’s content contains a lot of excellent information. It helped me take a gentle, balanced reading and learning approach. I will re-read, practice and repeat the lessons over time to enhance my comfort level with the mental, emotional and physical skill sets provided.

I loved learning about fascia and using visualization with the stretches I already knew! I will also order the book to have these ideas in my hands (as well as my Kindle which makes following the links a dream). Don’t forget to watch the videos and follow the links. This book is for everyone at every age.
