조직문화에 가장 큰 영향력을 미치는 사람은 창업경영자인 경우가 많다. 창업경영자는 기업을 창업하면서 조직의 미션과 비전, 목표, 의사소통방식과 문제해결방식 및 절차, 제도형성에 주도적인 역할을 하기 때문이다. 이러한 창업경영자가 투철하고 확고한 종교를 갖고 있다면, 종교적 미션이 기업문화와 경영자 리더십에 상당한 영향을 미칠 것으로 생각된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 주요 종교 중 기독교와 불교가 성공적인 기업문화나 리더십에 어떻게 투영되는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 그리고 기독경영과 불교경영의 공통점과 차이점을 리더십 스타일 특성 분류를 통해서 도출하여, 기독경영만의 고유 특성을 찾아보자 한다. 또한 기독교경영의 구체적인 실천사례를 소개하고자 한다. 이를 위해 성경에 기초한 경영원리를 수립하여 전파하고 있는 하형록 목사와 ‘일본에서 가장 존경받는 3대 기업가’로 꼽히고 교세라 명예회장을 내놓고 불교에 귀의한 이나모리 가즈오의 사례를 비교한다. 리더십은 구체적인 행동들의 예시를 통해 공통적인 행동특성을 유추할 수 있기 때문에, 창업경영자로서 본인들의 경영철학과 리더십을 저서로 발간한 창업경영자를 연구 대상으로 삼았다. 잠언 31장에 기초한 경영원리로 주차빌딩 건축회사를 창업한 경영자의 기독경영과 창업이래 한 번도 적자를 내지 않고 경영을 해온 불교의 이나모리 가즈오의 경영철학은 ‘무엇을 할 것인가’에서 ‘왜 해야 하는가’를 명확하게 규정하고 설득해야 할 오늘날 경영자들에게 시사하는 바가 크다.
Many people who have the greatest influence on organizational culture are founders in many cases. The founders establish businesses and play a leading role in the organization’s mission and vision, goals. If these founders had a firm religion, religious missions have a major impact on corporate culture and management leadership. Therefore, in this research, I would like to see how the major religious Christianity and Buddhism are projected into successful corporate culture and leadership. Let me derive common points and differences between Christ management and Buddhist management through classification of style characteristics of leadership and try to find unique characteristics only for Christianity management. Also, I will introduce concrete practical examples of Christian management. For this purpose, compare Hungrook Ha who is establishing and managing the Bible- based management principle and Kazuo Inamori who was chosen as “the three most respected entrepreneurs in Japan” and devoted himself to Buddhism cases. Since leadership can be inferred as an example of specific behaviors, we chose the founder management who published his own management philosophy leadership in a book. The comparison of Christianity and Buddhism based leaderships will be a good suggestion to the managers who have to clarify and persuade “why” in “what to do.”
