In this book, Grand Master Ilchi Lee explains the philosophy and goals of the Dahn Yoga system that he created in 1985 in Korea under the name of "Dahn Hak" (the study of energy) which began with one student in a park and now has 150 centers in the US and 600 worldwide. Dr. Lee revived a 5,000-year-old Korean tradition of humanitarianism to help the world today, one individual at a time.

"Brain Wave Vibration" teaches us to understand our brains in a powerful way that is new to most people. This is an important book both for Dahn Yoga students and for anyone who wants to gain greater physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

Mainstream medicine relies on drugs and surgery and alternative medicine uses a less invasive approach with supplements, herbs, nutrition, acupuncture, etc. However, neither teaches people the importance of the mind/body connection and the correct use of our brains which Ilchi Lee shows through Dahn Yoga to be the key to health, happiness, and peace.

Dahn Yoga is a multi-faceted system that includes daily classes, healing sessions, workshops, special classes, a martial arts program, a youth program, a healer school, etc. All of these reflect the philosophy expressed in the letters "HSP" which are on Dahn Yoga uniforms. They stand for "Health, Smile, Peace" and represent physical, emotional, and spiritual health. As individuals achieve these goals, they create healthier families, communities, and nations -- a saner, healthier world.

Dahn Yoga teaches us to take care of our bodies, to "play well with others", to value the Earth which is our common source of identity, and to connect to the universal energy in which we are all one. Dr. Lee's ultimate goal is to create millions of enlightened people to help save the planet at this time when life on Earth is threatened because of misguided thinking.

The value of Dahn Yoga is immediately apparent, but its true profundity takes time to grasp. When I joined Dahn Yoga in September, 2006, I was impressed by the simplicity and effectiveness of the classes, the power of the healing sessions, the warm sense of community, and the number of books and CDs by Dr. Lee. The classes are not difficult, but the exercises quickly enhance flexibility and strength because they are based on a deep understanding of the energy systems of the body.

However, it was not until July, 2008 when I did the 3-day Liver Cleanse fast at the Dahn Yoga resort in upstate New York that I began to understand more fully what makes Dahn Yoga so special. The headmaster at my center in Manhattan recommended the Liver Cleanse because I had had a pain in the liver for several months. The fasting program provided an opportunity to change eating patterns, to address emotional issues, and to learn more about the mind/body connection. After the fast, the pain disappeared.

I was impressed that Dahn Yoga has a resort in such a healing setting in the Catskills -- and similar resorts in Canada, Arizona, and Korea. I also gained a deeper appreciation of the value of the mind/body connection. After the fast, I read "Brain Wave Vibration" and re-read Dr. Lee's "Human Technology" book Human Technology: A Toolkit For Authentic Living. I highly recommend both. They can change your life and change the world.

I enjoyed this book a lot!~ Brain Wave Vibration is very simple-yet so powerful! I have felt so much lighter, brighter and happier since beginning BVW. What i like about this practice is that it's something that I can share easily with everyone, you don't have to be a certain body type or have certain experience to do this. Everyone can do it! This book also gave me a lot of answers to many questions I've had my whole life: why am I here? What can I do to heal myself and heal others? I highly recommend it. It's a short, easy read yet it yields many insights and awakenings. Thank you for BVW!!

I have a hard time meditating with all the noise in my head. So many things on my list and people I need to see. Life just seems to keep speeding up. I was given this book by my friends and I tried it. Brain wave vibration is easy and the results started happening right away. I felt quiet in my head and grounded in my body just after the first night I tried this technique. I have been practicing this now for three weeks and I have witnessed so many positive changes in my life. My emotions are easier for me to handle. I feel lighter and I seem to be getting more things done with less effort. I CAN MEDITATE AND HAVE QUIET IN MY HEAD.

I have read most of Ilchi Lee's books and so I was eager to read his latest one in what has become a fascinating and valuable series of philosophical and practical books about the human brain and how to improve it in order to benefit our lives, those around us and indeed the entire world through the ripple effects.

There is something fresh and compelling about Brain Wave Vibration (BWV). It makes a careful, grounded and imaginative case for the healing capacity of the brain and how we can use a method like BWV to put our brains in a powerful state that can benefit our physical health, mental functioning and even spiritual attainment.

With the case solidly made on medical, health and healing evidence, BWV gets to explaining the methods. I tried them and they work. My daily 15 or so minutes of BWV clear and calm my brain, and then activiate a flow of energy that is good for my body's, mind's and soul's processes and performance.

This is a small book with a big message. This is about a simple technique capable of producing profound results. If you have a brain, they take care of it and improve it so that you can live a better life -- in terms of health, happiness, peace and success. This book speaks of hope and then presents a manual for greater brain health. Since all roads -- body, mind, emotions and soul -- lead to and from the brain, then a book like BWV that helps people heal and enhance their brains is an extremely valuable book for humanity.

The author states that one does not need to dedicate a whole books to this technique and he is accurate in making this statement. This review is for people like me who feel that they have a simple philosophy in place but are looking for practical techniques to add to their personal development.

I felt this book didn't present me with any new material. As for the technique it only takes one page and then lots of practice. I would save my money for something else.

This easy-to-read primer for lifelong wellness is based on brain science and Ilchi Lee's life's work in brain education. What may be a strange-sounding concept -- brain wave vibration -- actually is a natural form of movement that anyone at any age can practice for better health. The effect can be profound -- tension and stiffness release, clearer thinking, easy smile. The book will remind even longtime students of Dahnhak, the form of yoga Ilchi Lee developed and has taught for three decades, about the healing power we all have within ourselves. Of course, we have to choose to use it, and in this book, the visionary Ilchi Lee tells us how.
