While it is clearly meant to impact the youth this book has profoundly ministered to me as well. As an adult follower of Jesus (coming to know Him as my personal Savior in my mid 30s) I had a lot of renewing that I needed done in this area of purity but even more so, in the area of shame around purity. This is that tool for me that opened up my mind to talk to God in a completely new way and ask Him questions and ultimately led to asking for the unimaginable and supernatural! I purchased this book to read through my grandson. We both learned alot. It's very readable and good to use with a 12 year old. It was sometimes more than he could understand, but the world is pouring in and we must have resources to help them truly combat all that the world sends their way. All in all, it's a good book I bought for my son. I skimmed through it first. One thing I didn't care for was that the author said that one reason God gave men sexual urges was to get them to help in the kitchen....in hopes for some romance later. Personally, if a man can't help in the kitchen without expecting something in return, you don't want him! Other than that.....it was pretty good. Seemed to approach abstinence like a challenge of manhood.....it (abstinence) is hard to achieve, but worth it if successful.

As many in our world, I’ve struggled with the topics that are so boldly discussed in this book. The church as a whole hardly touches on issues around sexuality, what to do when you’ve lead a less than holy lifestyle, and how much God cares for the active recovery and healing of his people in mind, soul, and body when it comes to purity. It’s hurtful to me when the world laughs when you speak up for wanting to see, hear, and do things with holiness in mind.
If you’ve ever wanted to hear a different take on sexuality besides: abstinence or death / it doesn’t matter cause everyone is doing it. Then I’d encourage you to dive into this book with an open mind and wrestle with the information therein to the very last page. There’s wisdom here you don’t tend to hear from the church, family members, friends, or internet searches.

My husband and I ordered this book after hearing a Kris Vallotton podcast with the same title as the book. We also ordered the "From the Battlefield the to Bedroom" DVD and the Girls' and Boys' 40 day workbooks. At about the same time we heard this message we had parents approach us asking us to teach their children about sexual purity. We reviewed all the material, presented it to our pastor and began sharing this with our youth. (My husband is the youth pastor) The kids have been so excited about this series and groan when it is time to wrap up the class. We are having these classs on Wed nights, ministering to about 60 young people. We showed the the DVD over two sessions to a mixed group, and have developed a 4 week lesson plan fromt he workbooks and book. At this point we seperated the girls and guys. We have two weeks left! This is an excellent Book, so full of straightforward truth. Blunt and to the Point!! Confronts issues that the church just does not seem to want to deal with or even talk about.

I am a young single Christian woman and I realized that I only knew about sex and sexuality based on what I have seen on tv, online, and in people's relationships. I had been exposed to sex from a very young age and it wasn't a godly perspective. I read this book so that I could see what God has to say about the topic. The authors are ones that I trust to hear from God and give me revelation about sex from God's perspective, not merely opinions and vague scripture references.
The book covers most, if not all, of the issues that come with sex including why you have a sex drive, how to date and set boundaries, and masturbation. I needed this in my process of waiting for a God center relationship and keeping a standard of no sex outside of marriage. I believe that without understanding it's hard to desire righteous living. I believe that this book is at the least a step in that direction.
