Subject: Ageing Well in CALD Communities project - Korean Community

Dear C Pak,

I have tried to reach your mobile on Friday to discuss the delivery of the Ageing Well in CALD Communities Project to Korean community. On Friday I spoke to Pastor Moon and would be great to get your insights whether your community is happy to be part of it.

MCCSA is looking for 4 communities to participate in the Ageing Well in CALD Communities project 2022.

The purpose of the Ageing Well CALD Communities program is to deliver education and awareness-raising activities aimed at safeguarding the capacity of older people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to live a safe, healthy and independent life. It is funded by the Office for Ageing Well.

The project will commence mid-April and finish in early November.

The participating communities will receive $5000 in total in 3 instalments.

Part 1 – attending the information sessions organised by MCCSA 3-4 half day sessions across 8 weeks (this will depend on the speakers availability).
We require up to 4 representatives from each organisations.

Followed by submitting a draft project plan – how you will be feeding back this information to your community. I will be guiding you through this. I will be able to share a completed project plan from previous participants to give you an idea how it is all organised.

Part 2 – disseminating the information through various channels appropriate to your community (facebook, whatsapp messages, article in newspaper, community get together, presentation with a guest speaker, translated materials, podcast, live broadcasting etc).

Part 3 – filling out and submitting the final completed project plan showing that you have met the project deliverables.

This was only the brief outline what to expect. It would be great to catch up sometimes this week and discuss this through if you think your community will benefit from this project.

Please let me know if you are interested and what is your availability like this week?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Lena G
