Abstract

이 연구에서는 유기농업에서 정통성을 지켜온 정농회의 활동을 생명농업운동, 특히 신사회운동의 일환인 문화정체성운동으로 규정하였다. 정농회는 기존의 주류농업방식에 저항하며 성경에 기초한 이웃사랑을 강령으로 채택한 독특한 농민단체이다. 정농회원으로서의 자부심이 높으며, 새로운 농업방식을 추구하고, 다른 농민단체와 추구하는 가치도 다르다. 또한 교육과 출판을 통하여 회원들의 의식교육 및 대안농업의 보급과 확산에 많은 기여를 하고 있다. 이런 점에서 농업방식뿐만 아니라 지역에서 대안적인 공동체문화를 형성하는데 진보적인 역할을 하고 있다. 하지만 인적자원의 확보를 통한 세대교체 및 정농생협의 정상화를 통한 유통 활성화문제 등 향후 발전적 변화를 모색할 필요가 있다.

This study defines the activities of Right Farming Association(RFA), which has acquainted itself with organic farming-bio agricultural movement. It views those activities of RFA as a cultural identity movement, which is related to New Social Movements(NSM). RFA opposes the existing mainstream farming methods and pursues new farming methods. RFA is a unique, self-generated farmers` association which selected loving neighbors, the teaching from the Bible, as main principles. It`s pursuing values are distinctively different from those of other farming associations and takes pride in being part of RFA. It also takes advanced views toward not only farming methods but also building up community alternative culture in areas. It tries to raise awareness among the members through the spread and distribution of alternative farming by publication. However, it is essential that RFA finds solutions to a shift in generations by securing workforce and to activation of distribution by normalization of Jungnong-Coop to improve in the near future.
